Chiltern Brewery Enjoys a ‘Golden Harvest’ of Awards
4th August 2017
John Hampden’s Golden Harvest Ale is on a winning streak.
It’s International Beer Day and what better than a good news story about a bottled real ale. The Chiltern Brewery is multi award winning and so are their beers. With 38 years as a family brewing the best in fine English ales, they use only the best in British natural malt, hops and barley.
This week The Chilterns Society announced the brewery as ‘Central Chilterns Champion’ in their Craft Beer Awards 2017, with John Hampden’s Golden Harvest Ale as their top rated beer. This new award has a judging panel consisting of CAMRA’s Central Southern Director, Carl Griffin, and The Chiltern Society’s ‘Save Our Pubs Team’. The actual award will be presented in October at Tring Brewery, but for now the proof of golden harvest glory is in the trying. If you haven’t been before, you can visit their beautiful Brewery Shop in Terrick, or buy online.
In addition to that, Gluten Free Heaven Magazine voted this beer as Editor’s Choice out of 6 gluten free beers. They gave it a 5 star verdict and offered a host of excellent feedback such as “If you are looking for a session beer, then you can’t go wrong with this”, and “It is floral in the nice way – we all liked this a lot!”
All in all it has been a great week for the team at The Chiltern Brewery – do keep an eye on their website for more exciting upcoming news, and make sure you try a glass of this delightful, award winning brew.
